Define "Work Queue Item": These are active messages currently in your work sent or received queue.

Any message that's currently in your sent or received queue will be available in your Work Queue Item list. It's important to note, messages must be in an active status (New, Opened, Pending, Notify Sending, Notify Receiving) to appear.

This option will be helpful if:

- you forgot to attach a document to a message before it was sent

- a medical records request was received that you need to attach documents to

- additional documentation was request, by the receiving office, for a referral

- internal documents need to be added to a message before moving to another department

- scheduling information needs to be added to a referral
